INFORMATION
Eligible students must complete an NBC 10 Internship Application. Answers to the questions should be as specific as possible in identifying career goals, expectations, and areas of work interest. After submitting the internship application you will be presented with a Course Credit Verification form that your school internship coordinator or your advisor must complete and return to NBC 10 at the address listed below. Failure to secure and return written verification will disqualify your application.Unfortunately, due to the volume of applicants received each semester, internship interviews are not guaranteed to all who apply. In the event you are not chosen for an internship for the semester in which you have applied, but are interested in re-applying for another semester, you will be required to submit a new application in order to secure accurate and current course certification.Submit your completed application, including Credit Certification Verification and a copy of your resume to:

- NBC 10 has four internship sessions yearly. Each session runs 13 weeks.
- This is an unpaid internship for college credit only. Our interns are considered trainees and not employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1973.
- Each student is assigned to a station supervisor for the duration of the internship.
- At NBC 10, labor contracts prevent interns from performing union duties. These duties include news writing, working with technical equipment and directing. While "hands on" experience is not available, you'll be able to observe and get to know a group of very talented broadcast professionals who have many years of experience and a willingness to share their knowledge. If you're interested in gaining "hands on" experience, we advise you to seek internships at stations with less restrictions.
- NBC reserves the right to terminate a student's internship at any point for reasons such as misconduct, poor attendance, insubordination or other serious problems.
- Upon the offer of an internship, the actual start date will be determined mutually by the supervising sponsor and the student.
- To be eligible for an NBC 10 Internship, you must be registered as a Junior, Senior, or graduate student in good standing at an accredited college or university. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS! The registration must apply for the full duration of the internship.
- You must receive university or college credit for participating in this program. AGAIN, NO EXCEPTIONS! The amount of course credit to be earned is determined and verified by your school. To receive course credit, you must comply with all school requirements as well as all NBC 10 requirements. Be fully aware of your school's internship requirements before applying for the NBC 10 Internship Program.
- Most NBC 10 departments require students to work 35.40 hours per week during the internship. Some part-time opportunities with a minimum of 20 hours per week are also available.
