A local kindergarten teacher found heroin on a 5-year-old student at Richmond Elementary School in Port Richmond.

Police said the teacher discovered the eight bags of heroin in the boy's pants pockets.
After an investigation, police determined the child found the drugs in his mother's bedroom.Some parents are outraged the incident happened last month and they were not told."That's shocking to me especially here. I don't know what anyone else would say, but that's very shocking especially for an elementary school," one parent told NBC 10.The boy, along with three other siblings, is now in protective custody.The mother is facing drug charges.
