The video was shot Monday morning and obtained Wednesday by NBC News.

The tape begins with waves approaching the hotel near the beach in Gulfport.

Soon, the men must move above ground as the water rises and picks up furniture.

Then, water can bee seen coming up a stairwell.

The tape ends with shots of the storm surge hitting the beach and town.

Both men survived the experience and appeared on the Today Show on Thursday morning.
