Witnesses Say Statue Moved

Thousands of Italians have flocked to a church outside Naples, Italy, with hopes of witnessing a Virgin Mary statue move her legs.

    Church officials said they witnessed the plaster statue's legs turn the color of flesh and move "as though she were walking toward us."

    One man said he filmed the "miracle" on his mobile phone last week.

    Since this alleged miracle occurred, eager pilgrims have flocked to the church armed with camcorders and cell phones hoping to gain solid proof of the event.

    Meanwhile, a team of local church experts is investigating the incidents, looking for either "a natural cause" or "a preternatural phenomenon" to explain the occurrences.
