PHILADELPHIA -- The search resumes Monday for Latoyia Figueroa, a pregnant woman missing for nearly two weeks. A private firm has joined the effort. The private company, which specializes in searches, will join Philadelphia police looking for clues to the whereabouts of the 24-year-old mother, who is also five months pregnant.A vigil was held Saturday night for Figueroa, who hasn't been seen since Monday of last week. The Philadelphia police homicide unit has taken over the investigation. Police say that doesn't mean foul play is involved or that she's dead -- just that the homicide unit has the resources needed for this sort of case.

Video: Vigil Held For Missing WomanMissing from the large crowd at 57th and Market streets was Latoyia Figueroa's boyfriend, Steven Pouche, the father of her unborn baby. That fact didn't go unnoticed by Figueroa's family members at the vigil.Police have not named Pouche or anyone as a suspect in Figueroa's disappearance.Figueroa's father told NBC 10 that Pouche and his daughter were at odds over her pregnancy.Family members also told NBC 10 they feared Figueroa was caught in a love triangle that turned violent."She was fearful because the other girl that (Pouche) was involved with had her information on where she lived at," said Figueroa's cousin."I still hope. I have faith in the Lord. I just try to prepare myself for the better or for the worst. I just want to pray for the best," said Melvin Figueroa, Latoyia Figueroa's father.Melvin Figueroa said that his hope that Latoyia Figueroa is alive is leading him to pass out fliers in areas beyond the streets where she was last seen.Police conducted an extensive search of a house at 59th and Walton where Figueroa was last seen and a home on the 4200 block of Ogden."They were looking for any evidence, like clothing, to find any hairs on one of the vehicles. They also were making sure she wasn't in the trunk of a car," Melvin Figueroa said.Sources also told NBC 10 News that Figueroa's credit cards and cell phone still have not been used and that is highly suspicious. So far, there has been no evidence of foul play. Figueroa is still listed as a missing person.About 100 Philadelphia police cadets filed into Cobbs Creek Park Thursday for the search. Police also brought in all-terrain vehicles and a helicopter to search for any sign of the missing woman. Earlier in the week, police sent up a helicopter with a thermal imaging device, but they found nothing."We wanted to do one concerted search of the park area. The last place where Miss Figueroa was seen was 59th and Walton, which is four to five blocks away from here," said Inspector David Jardin.Figueroa's father made a plea to the public for help."I'm asking anyone that knows anything to please get in contact with a police officer," Melvin Figueroa said.Elected officials joined Figueroa's family in west Philadelphia Wednesday to announce a $10,000 reward. That reward may be as high as $40,000 by Monday.Anyone with information is asked to call the Citizen Crime Commission at (215) 546-TIPS.
