Police said that a fight over a girl broke out Tuesday night between Jason Sannasardo, Franzone and Billy Bacuda, 20, at 18th and Pollock streets.
Family members said that Franzone had gone to a house with Bacuda. According to police, when Bacuda saw his ex-girlfriend with Sannasardo, a fight ensued. Police sources said that Sannasardo defended himself, stabbing Franzone and Bacuda in the chest."(Franzone) was still going to school, he was really trying to get his life together, and get focused on what he wanted to do. He loved to go with his uncles fishing, play basketball," said Robert DeLaurentis, Franzone's cousin. The Franzone family said they are trying to cope with a situation that they say got out of hand."He took away the life of a good kid. He ruined a big family, he ruined his own family too. He's looking at a good time in jail," said Scott Camanella, Franzone's cousin.Because of the alleged excessive force used and the fact that Franzone and Bacuda were unarmed, Sannasardo is facing murder charges.
