ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- An Atlantic City Boardwalk water ride is expected to remain closed pending state officials' investigation into a mishap that left a Philadelphia family injured.City fire officials said the five family members were hurt on the Big Splash log flume ride Saturday.The car the five were riding in went down an incline and into a basin that was supposed to be filled with water but was apparently empty.
The father was thrown from the Steel Pier ride.Authorities said he was hospitalized, but officials at AtlantiCare Medical Regional Medical Center declined to release his condition.The mother and three children suffered minor injuries in the accident, which happened about 2:30 p.m.The family members' names were not released.
