MAPLE SHADE, N.J. -- The owner and operator of the Rodeway Inn in Maple Shade, N.J., was shot in the head and killed Tuesday, authorities said.

Police are looking for the victim's car, which is a silver Acura with the New Jersey license plate number PKT-31B.Ranjit Patel's body was discovered on the floor by a landscaper who entered the Inn's office just before 3 p.m.The Inn is located at the busy intersection of Route 38 and Route 73.NBC 10 News reporter John Blunt observed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the wall of the office.Authorities said they don't yet know exactly what happened to Patel, 57, or who the shooter was. Robbery is believed to be the motive.
