CAMDEN, N.J. -- A former New Jersey state trooper has been arrested, accused of raping a 10-year-old girl.
Police said that Glynn Moore (pictured, left in an exclusive NBC 10 picture), 41, had been on the run since Tuesday with several law enforcement agencies on his tail.Friday afternoon, Moore and his attorney went to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and he turned himself in.
Moore has been accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter on July 20. NBC 10 News' sources said that the girl called police shortly after the alleged assault.
Moore first made headlines five years ago when he and 12 other New Jersey state troopers sued the agency for discrimination. Moore received an undisclosed out-of-court settlement and he resigned last year. He had spent more than 10 years on the force.Moore has been charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. If he is convicted of all charges, he could spend up to 35 years in jail.
