Neighbor Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Girls

NEWARK, Del. -- Delaware authorities arrested a man on suspicion of sexually assaulting two girls during a sleepover early Friday morning.Investigators said Alva Calhoun, 65, invited four girls to spend the night at his home. Police said he sexually assaulted two of the girls, ages 9 and 10, while they were sleeping.The four girls then fled the home and told their parents about the attack, police said.
The victims live near him in Brookside Park in Newark.Calhoun was arrested on charges of first-degree rape and second-degree rape and also faces four counts of unlawful sexual contact.He was being held in Howard Young Prison after he did not post a $100,000 bond.
