Three people were hurt Friday afternoon when a SEPTA trolley collided with an SUV in Southwest Philadelphia, police said.View Images
The collision happened at Island Avenue and Lindbergh Boulevard at about 1:15 p.m. The driver of the SUV was taken to Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in unknown condition.
Chopper 10 captured images of the front of the trolley broadsiding the passenger side of a large, red SUV. The hood of the SUV was popped open.Police said the driver of the SUV made an illegal U-turn, and the trolley slammed into it.The driver of the SUV and two trolley passengers were taken to the hospital.The collision caused some traffic delays in the area of the collision.
