BENSALEM, Pa. -- Authorities in Bucks County are asking for the public's help in tracking down a driver of a car involved in a fatal hit-and-run.Police said two pedestrians were struck by a Pontiac Firebird at the intersection of Street and Knight roads just before 1 a.m. Saturday in Bensalem Township. One of the men died in the crash, and the other man is in critical condition.
The Pontiac Firebird was found abandoned about a quarter of a mile from the crash scene. But Bensalem Township police have been unable to find the owner of the car.Detective Chris McMullin said the address on the car's registration is invalid."The insurance, nothing -- nothing is coming back to a valid address where we can find the owner, let alone the operator of the vehicle," he said. The car has distinctive white graphics on the body of the car.Police said they are hoping someone will recognize the car and be able to help them find the driver.
