Police: Burglary Call Leads To $700,000 Pot Bust

A burglary call led to a big pot bust in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.Police said the marijuana plants were part of what was an elaborate operation.It was being run out of a home in the 5900 block of North Beechwood Street.
Officers said all three floors were full of plants.They said lamps and other equipment used to grow them were a huge fire hazard."There's a tremendous amount of heat in there," Philadelphia Police Department Inspector Bob Snyder said.Police were called to the home early Friday morning for a report of a burglary.The marijuana has an estimated street value of $700,000.Three people are being questioned.
