POSTED: 11:29 am EDT May 15, 2008
UPDATED: 12:47 pm EDT May 15, 2008

Burlington County authorities said they made an arrest in connection to the April 14 slaying of a gas station attendant.

Terrance S. Clemons, 20, of Mystic Way in Burlington Township, was charged with killing Abdur Rahman, 50, while he worked his shift at a Westampton gas station last month, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Westampton Township Police Chief Steven VanSciver.

Rahman lived in Burlington City, N.J., and was slain during an armed robbery at US Gas station, located on Route 541 near Hancock Lane.

During the robbery attempt, Clemons used a handgun to fatally shoot Rahman just before 11:30 p.m.

A potential fuel customer found Rahman and called 911 following the shooting.

Judge James J. Morley set bail at $750,000

Clemons is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
