Lawmakers in two states want the flow of illegal guns to stop.New Jersey said many crimes committed with guns in that state are actually bought in Pennsylvania.New Jersey officials said last year, 332 guns used in violent Garden State crimes were bought here in Pennsylvania.
They said it's because of Pennsylvania's lax gun laws. For example, you can buy a firearm in 45 minutes in Pennsylvania but there's a two-week minimum wait in New Jersey.New Jersey prosecutors said something has to be done.Bryan Miller, of Ceasefire New Jersey, said he wants Pennsylvania to adopt a tougher gun buying process. He said anyone could walk into a gun shop, get a quick FBI computer check and leave with as many guns as he wants to buy all in less than an hour.
