Police Find Heroin Stash In Potato Chip Can

Police found nearly 60 bags of heroin underneath a few chips inside a Pringles can during a routine traffic stop in Wilmington on Tuesday.Delaware troopers pulled over Corey Holmes, 21, of Wilmington, after they clocked him driving 77 mph in a 55 mph zone on Interstate 95 North at about 1 a.m.Police took Holmes and his passenger, Timothy Davis, 26, of New Castle, into custody after they noticed a bag of what appeared to be marijuana "in plain view" on the floorboard.
After uncovering the 32.6 grams of marijuana, an officer looked into a Pringles potato chip can and found 59 bags of heroin under several chips.Holmes and Davis were each charged with possession with felony counts of intending to deliver heroin and marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for keeping a controlled substance, conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.Holmes was also charged with speeding.Holmes and Davis were taken to the Howard Young Correctional Institute after they failed to post bail of $10,100 and $10,000, respectively.
