On the Consumer Alert, if you've got more shopping to do but are running short on cash, there's a Web site that could really help. It's the brainchild of a Russian entrepreneur. She has a way to save you money and make money for herself at the same time. With coupons!Elena Potoupa moves a mile a minute. To label her a multitasker would be a gross understatement.
"I really love doing simultaneously a hundred things but also, I'm doing them well," Potoupa says.Potopa's a 28 year old Russian immigrant who's taking the Internet coupon world by storm. Her wow-coupons.com Web site offers an extensive list of in-store and online coupons, from borders to Ann Taylor, Target, even Overstock.com. And that's not all: She also offers grocery and restaurant coupons. If you were to sum up her degrees, the number of languages she commands, and her Web site you'd probably arrive at one word : wow!Even her customers are echoing her Web site's namesake. And companies are jumping on the Wow train."My biggest profit comes from two major on-line businesses, which are overstock.com and target.com," Potoupa says. How does Potoupa make money? When people use her online or in store coupons she gets a commission from her partnerships. She even offers advertising on her site."This month is going to be at least 10,000, that's net," she says.Potoupa is shocked by the growth of her Web site. She's even fielding calls from potential investors and her company hasn't even gone public.I really want to make this baby a genius. I'm hoping for the best," she says.
