1 Dead, 3 Injured in W. Philly Crash

One of the vehicles hit a parked car and landed on the sidewalk.

One person is dead and three others are injured following a car accident early Thursday morning.

Police tell NBC Philadelphia that the cars collided and flipped over just before 3:30 on the 5100 block of Locust Street in West Philadelphia.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene. A 35-year-old male is in critical condition with head, neck and back injures. Two people, a 27-year-old female and 45-year-old male, were rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where they are in stable condition. 

Authorities say that one of the vehicles involved hit a parked car before landing upside down on the sidewalk.

The cause of the deadly collision is under investigation.
