To find out if you're at risk for breast cancer, you might have to check out your mother's measurements.A scientific study found the size of your mother's hips may predispose you to breast cancer, NBC 10 reported.Breast cancer rates are three times higher if your mother has wide hips.Wide, round hips mean a woman is making a lot of sex hormone at puberty and those hormones stick around.Scientists said they believe those hormones might initiate breast cancer while the woman is pregnant and her female fetus is only 10 weeks. So your tendency to get breast cancer could be established in the womb. There's not much you can do about your mother's hips or hormones. However, perform monthly breast self-exams and get mammograms on schedule every year.Baby Elyse Loses BattleThe child called "the one in a million baby" has lost her battle with a rare disease and has died.Baby Elyse, the oldest of three triplets born in February in California, was a one in a million baby because it was so unlikely fertility treatments would lead to triplets -- but it did. There was also a one in a million chance she would develop a rare blood disease -- but she did.Philadelphian Kayti Chung helped run a bone marrow drive in the Asian community in the local area for baby Elyse.People showed up to offer cheek swabs to see if their DNA would match Elyse's but no one's did.Elyse was given some of her triplet's bone marrow to try to save her life but she didn't make it.Her family thanked everyone who tried to help their baby and who kept her in their prayers.Anyone who needs a transplant is much more likely to match a member of their own ethnic group.
