Say goodbye to the trans fat in your favorite pastries.Starbucks announced Wednesday that 50 percent of its stores have removed the trans fat from its menu items.Soon all will follow. So far among the Starbucks locations zeroing down are in Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs, Delaware and South Jersey.Trans fats are listed on food labels as hydrogenated oils.Health experts say they increase bad cholesterol and decrease good cholesterol.Nutrition expert Lisa Hark said removing the trans fat in high calorie food does not make it healthier."That scone or crumb cake is still 600 calories. Taking out the trans fat doesn't take away the calories," said Hark.
