  • The News reported that Fischer fell down steps at Buddakan during an "upfront" party -- an event where networks showcase their television shows for the upcoming fall season -- on Tuesday.

Fischer was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital, where she and her husband, actor-screenwriter James Gunn, spent the night.

The actress' spokesperson told the News that the actress "avoided anything scary near the spine" and is expected to make a full recovery before the "The Office" begins shooting its fourth season this summer.

Fischer, 33, plays the dowdy secretary, Pam, in the hit sitcom. She also recently starred opposite Will Ferrell and Jon Heder in the ice-skating comedy hit "Blades of Glory."

She has also been featured on guest spots on "That 70s Show," "Cold Case" and "Six Feet Under."
