There is a new way to get the best gas prices while you are on the go. All you need is a cell phone with web service.

Verizon Wireless lets you log onto the mobile web to find the lowest gas prices based on your zip code or city.

"We cover about 100,000 gas stations nationwide," said Silvio Cuadra, of Verizon Wireless. "It gives you the ability to punch in your address and it will give you the directions to get to your gas station."

But what if you don't have Verizon Wireless? There is another company that provides the same services for any cell phone.

"The message I'm sending is to 'gas' at FuelGo.com," said Chad Priest, of FuelGo.com.

Priest started FuelGo.com about one month ago, and it is free.

"It's actually volunteer-based. There's over 130,000 volunteers across the country that input these prices, so it is unbiased information," Priest said.

If you have Verizon Wireless, it costs $1.99 per month to sign up. FuelGo is free.

click on No. 5 or select "fuel finder"
